General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GDAIS) has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer to join our team at the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3), a national cyber center,the world''s largest accredited digital forensics lab, and the home of the public private partnership that shares cyber threat information with the Defense Industrial Base. This position will be performed as a member of the research and development organization within DC3, the Defense Cyber Crime Institute (DCCI).
The candidate will be responsible for software development of integrated systems that include a storefront, data store, attribute based access control and cyber security analytics tools. The candidate should have a strong understanding of PHP web page development, SQL database and XML validation. The candidate should be experience in secure coding practices and able to design, develop and deploy a web-based system.
Candidates must show a passion for innovation, a sophisticated understanding of software systems and applications, and the ability to effectively manage, grow and evolve GDAIS software solutions.
The Software Engineer position requires a bachelors degree in a specialized area or equivalent field and five to eight years of related experience; or masters degree and three to five years of related experience.
Department of Defense Interim Secret security clearance is required at time of hire with the ability to obtain a Secret . Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Key Requirements by Customer:
B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Candidate must have more than 5 recent (i.e. less than 2 years removed) years of experience in a software engineering role
Strong programming skills in Python and PHP
Programming experience in implementing web services
Programming skills in Scripting languages
Experience in Agile Scrum software development
Experience with the software development lifecycle to include requirements definition, design development, code development, code unit testing and Integration testing
Understanding of secure coding practices
Some experience with relational databases
Experience with smooth deployment of software packages
Must have a U.S. Secret Security clearance or ability to obtain clearance
Graduate degree or active progress in obtaining a graduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
Familiarity with STIX XML schema/cyber security threat profiles and TAXII
Experience in Javascript, CSS, SQL

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
