Key Role:
Provide a variety of systems engineering and sustainment and maintenance support to a Joint client. Assist with the integration and maintenance of multiple IT systems and projects in support of the client. Apply analytical expertise to identify issues and resolve problems in supporting multiple LAN and WAN networks and operating systems. Install and maintain hardware, software, and configurations for network switches and routers and manage projects, as assigned for cost, schedule, and technical performance from inception through completion. Maintain and create architectural diagrams and technical documentation. Ensure integrated hardware complies with information assurance (IA) and configuration management (CM) policies and work as part of a team to implement and follow systems engineering processes. Provide a high level of customer service to support the client.
Basic
Qualifications:
-Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office Suite
-Knowledge of system administration and configuration control of communications and computer systems
-Knowledge of a variety of networking and telecommunications systems
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-BA or BS degree in Engineering or CS
-Ability to obtain DoD 8570 level II Security Certification
Additional
Qualifications:
-Experience with Red Hat Linux 5.6 platforms a plus
-Knowledge of routing protocols
