Asset Care Manager

TAGLINE: Lead the asset care and maintenance agenda for a new brewery and packaging of new Guinness beers and Flavored Malt Beverages (FMBs) for the US market.
WHO WE ARE:
Guinness is building a new brewery on the site of the historic Calvert Distillery in Baltimore County, five miles from Baltimore International Airport, 10 miles from downtown Baltimore and 30 miles from Washington DC. The new brewery will be a spiritual home for Guinness in the US, comprising of a medium-scale 100HL Brewhouse to produce c. 100K BBL of Guinness Blonde American Lager per annum, a new visitor center with taproom and tavern, a 10 BBL experimental Brewhouse that will be a test kitchen for new Guinness beers, as well as an agile packaging operation including bottling, canning and kegging.
WHY IS THE ROLE IMPORTANT:
The Asset Care Manager is responsible for providing leadership, developing, organizing, and managing plant maintenance, CAPEX budgeting and planning, project management, asset management and facilities management. As a key member of the Plant Leadership Team, this role will be pivotal in design and start-up of this entirely new beer packaging operation. Diageo is currently driving towards Supply Excellence and Relay's Asset Care Manager will be pivotal in ensuring we accelerate our performance towards Best in Class.
Management
Provides leadership to 5-7 direct reports across multiple shifts. Reports to Relay Site Director. Works in partnership with the rest of the Plant Leadership Team to maximize the site performance.
Decision Making
1. Makes strategic decisions (recommendations regarding asset care and maintenance to drive safety, service, cost, and efficiency improvements).
2. Ensures effective control and decision making within span of control.
Financial Responsibility
Responsible for all aspects of budget control for the plant maintenance expense, facilities management and capital budgets.
Supply Excellence / Continuous Improvement
Responsible for embedding TPM to drive our journey towards Supply Excellence.
KEY OUTPUTS:
1. Displays a high level of leadership and ability to influence key stakeholders.
2. Establishes and effectively manages departmental budgets and objectives.
3. Assists in the development of personal business objectives and performance standards for all employees in the department.
4. Identify, implement and promote Technology to improve efficiencies, productivity and reduce cost. Prepare and submit annual operational and CAPEX budgets in line with production volumes.
5. Meet or exceed the annual plan, which includes proposing cost saving proposals and project summaries, including alternatives and recommendations.
6. Oversees the plant facilities management including the manufacturing and consumer experience areas.
7. Maintains approved processes and procedures, and oversees the timely and cost effective implementation of all new product introductions, package changes, special projects, line extensions, etc.
8. Carries out all management responsibilities in accordance with Diageo NA and Relay policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
An experienced maintenance leader with engineering degree, graduate a plus, and 5+ years' experience in world class production facilities, preferably beer or soda packaging. Experience with TPM. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong leadership and experience managing direct reports. Advanced practitioner of CI tools such as Six Sigma, Lean and Kaizen.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
