Geotechnical Drillers and Driller Helpers

Full-time Geotechnical Drillers and Drill Helpers needed for the Specialty Construction Group branch to work in the Mid-Atlantic region. Candidate must be dependable, enthusiastic, able to work independently, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.


Prior experience in operating and maintaining geotechnical drill rigs, collecting geotechnical samples and data using augers, mud rotary, and coring techniques, and creating and maintaining boring logs and daily reports is a must. Drill helpers need not have prior experience and we will train the right candidate. The following are additional requirements for these positions.


Requirements



  • CDL Class A or B license is preferred

  • Experience in operating various geotechnical drills (i.e. truck mounted, track, ATV, and skid)

  • Must be able to work out of town for extended periods of time on projects

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check

  • Clean driving record

  • Reliable transportation

  • Able to lift and carry 100 lbs

  • Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • High school diploma/GED

  • Must be able to prioritize duties on a daily basis

  • Strong work ethic/team player attitude

  • Typical work day is 6:00 AM to5:00 PM Monday Friday. However, additional hours and/or Saturdays may be necessary.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
