Packaging Team Leader

WHY IS THE ROLE IMPORTANT:
As a member of the operations team, the Packaging Team Leader (PTL) is responsible for managing the day-to-day production requirements across multiple departments including safety activities, quality, coordinating staffing assignments, and departmental budget activities. The PTL will provide business leadership to ensure the team meets/exceeds Supply Excellence KPI's. The PTL role is imperative in driving continuous improvement and employee engagement in critical success areas by empowering employees to utilize Manufacturing Management System (MMS) tools and techniques.
KEY OUTPUTS
Ensure efficient production is achieved and standards are met. Optimize safety, quality, production, and cost objectives through employee involvement and team building approach to root cause problem solving and continuous improvement
Direct Planning and Responsibilities include: training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding, disciplining, and motivating employees; addressing complaints, resolving conflict, solving problems, scheduling vacations, and payroll timekeeping and approval. Implementation of key initiatives to improve bottling, warehousing, processing and maintenance operations.
Ensure production databases are properly maintained and information utilized for continuous improvement
Responsible for writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and updating/maintaining in EQMS
Support all safety and food safety audits, responsible to ensure for all corrective action items are completed and all bottling, warehousing, processing and maintenance employees understand the goals and expectations

Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP), perform tasks per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and follow general housekeeping guidelines and rules for Food Safety Regulations. Keep area updated with all MMS practices
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
A high-performing individual with 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a high-speed manufacturing plant/warehouse operation in a best in class manufacturing environment with GMP's or experience in a highly regarded best-in-class industry. Candidates should have a BA/BS degree in Business, Management, or Engineering. Thorough working knowledge and demonstrated expertise in all areas of high-speed bottling and/or canning activities including machine operations, changeovers, start-up, shut-down, and package quality. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effect change within a manufacturing environment through diagnosing, designing, and implementing solutions. A continuous improvement mind-set is a must. Knowledge of TTB and state regulations pertaining to the production of alcoholic beverages is a plus. This person should be able to work independently. The ability to multitask and prioritize their workload, as well as having excellent organizational skills is critical to being successful in this role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency on computers is a must.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
