For Sale: 1971 Chevrolet Malibu in Linthicum, Maryland for sale in Halethorpe, MD
Vehicle Description 1971 CHEVROLET MALIBU CONVERTIBLE 2 OWNER - DOUBLE BUILDSHEET DOCUMENTED - PROFESSIONALLY RESTORED - BEAUTIFUL ! This car is simply incredible and a true time capsule It has to be one of the most wholesome cars we have ever owned.
Purchased from the 2nd owner who bought it from his longtime friend and & co-worker's estate in 1996.
He told us that he hounded his friend about buying it from the first day she brought it home from the dealer brand new in 1971 and as the years went by he would remind her that when she was ready to sell it that he wanted the car.
Fast forward 25 years 1996 and the original owner and longtime friend & co-worker unexpectedly passes away so the car was offered to purchase from her estate.
By that point the car was in pretty rough shape but it did run and drive but without hesitation it was bought.
Driven for a short time as is but quickly determined that the car would be treated to a total restoration.
It was professionally restored by a local Chevy dealer who at that time had a body shop manager who is a hot rodder and loved the story behind the car so he took on the job.
He told the owner not to press him about time, that it will get done at his pace if he wanted it done right but he had to find him as much GM N.
