Vehicle Description 1966 PONTIAC GTO POST COUPE - NUMBERS MATCHING - RESTORED ORIGINAL We just acquired this very nice and very real 242 vin #, 1966 Pontiac GTO Post Coupe.
There were 96,946 GTO's built in 1966 but only 10,363 were coupes, the least of all models produced.
This car is an older restoration that was redone in it's original color combination that still retains it's numbers matching engine.
Check it out !! The body appears to be all original and is super straight, solid and clean including it's floors, trunk and frame.
It was repainted in base/clear in original code R Montero Red that is slick and smooth with a deep luster & show car shine.
The black vinyl top was also replaced correct and looks as new as well as the chrome, trim and weather stripping.
The black bucket seat with factory console interior is a in like new condition including the seats, carpets, door panels, dash and headliner.
VERY NICE !! Power comes from it's original, numbers matching XE 389 c.

It is backed up by a crisp shifting TH-350 automatic transmission with it's original shifter and it's original 10 bolt rear.
Other features include, power steering, power disc brakes (front only) 14'' rally II wheels and AM radio.
This car is also a factory A/C car but is missing a few key components.
They are available thru aftermarket parts houses and can be installed and functional for an additional fee.
This car is a very nice example of an original 1966 GTO Coupe.

) documentation to authenticate it's existence and have pictures of it's engine codes and build dates too.
