Vehicle Description 1969 CAMARO RS/SS PRO-STREET Just in is this very nice 1969 Camaro RS/SS (X55) Pro-Street! We purchased this car from a local longtime owner who said that this car was originally an X-race car that he put back on the street.
He said that he went thru all of the mechanical systems (motor-trans-steering-brakes) so the car can be safely driven on the street but never got around to finishing the car cosmetically.
It actually looks pretty damn good As-Is but to be perfect it is in need of a little body work and paint.
We are so busy with other builds we cannot get to this one for a while so we figured we would offer it up for sale As-Is Do yourself a favor, if you are in the market for a reasonably priced BAD-ASS 69 Camaro that you can drive now and repaint later then look NO FURTHER!! and CHECK IT OUT!!! I want to be as transparent as possible here, the allmetal body is pretty straight and clean, but it does have a few dings here and there and one dent on the driver's door as well a very small rust hole in the driver's side rocker panel but that's about the extent of it.
The floors, trunk and frame are all rock solid and the mini tubs look to have been professionally installed too.
The paint still shines but is old and stale and the steel cowl hood is a shade or two darker than the rest of the car but the chrome, trim, weather stripping and glass are all in very good condition.
The black deluxe bucket seat interior is also in really good condition.
It has a factory console with gauge package and an in-dash tach too.
It also has a 10-point roll cage, power windows and a full back seat which is unusual to find in a tubbed car.
It is all very-very nice!! Power comes from an aluminum head 496 c.
i.
big block that was professionally built by a local machine shop.
(Receiptand Dyno-Sheets are available) It sounds incredible and runs super strong.
It is backed up by a TH-400 automatic trans with 3000 rpm stall convertor and a spooled Dana 60 rear with 4:
30 gears.
Other features includepower steering, coil-over ladder-bar rear suspension, 4-wheel Wilwood power disc brakes, Weld wheels,18-gallon fuel cell, custom 3 exhaust, March serpentine pulley system, aluminum radiator, MSD ignition and lots-lots more!! Like i said, this is a very nice, very well-done car that runs, rides and drives really good but is in need of a li.
